ARTIST STATEMENT: |

Rebecca Kressley documents her examination of what fascinates
her, and her attempts to describe what has always denied
identification. Her process of making art is derivative of how
she navigates through the world: she gleans from a random source
of materials and modes of information in order to somehow
present, or articulate, her subject matter. Kressley makes
apparent a broad range of influence in each of her artworks, yet
certain themes are large enough to maintain a consistency:
imagining mortality, the passing of time, the moment of impact. |
