ARTIST STATEMENT: |
- |
|
My art practice stems from my inescapable contact with the
everyday and mechanical household objects. My fascination sparks
my quest to analyse and disassemble these objects to create
sculptures. It is essential the objects are found. This is
significant because the object is not longer fit for its
commercial purpose due to its lack of functionality. My idea of
using everyday, industrial and discarded objects allows me to
create a new purpose, an artistic one. I want to discover the
finer physical make up of an everyday object but modify and
utilize the intricate parts which form the object function. |
