1 What is/are the primary reason(s) for you to make work in the first place?
The pursuit of personal satisfaction and avoiding proper work.

2 What do you intend your work to convey to an audience?

I hope people pick up on the humour in the work but see that that is not just what it is about.

3 Why do you work in your chosen medium and format?
I Work in various different mediums and formats dependent on whatever idea I am working on at that time.

4 Technically speaking how do you go about constructing your work, that is the image or object itself? What devices do you employ?
I will have an idea for an image and then find source material that I can work from. In the past when I have had difficulty finding appropriate source material I have also made plastacine models that I have lit and photographed to make the drawing from.

5 Which period(s)/artists/specific works of art are you influenced by and how directly? How does this manifest in your work?
I have been influenced strongly by comic artists such as Robert Crumb but also by first and second World War propaganda posters and 18th and19th century satirical etching.

6 What stimulates/informs your work from the world around you?
Any thing that catches my eye.

7 What stimulates/informs your work from your own personal experience?
I think being obsessed with the Beano form a young age had an effect.

8 From where do you derive your other visual source material (i.e. non art historical) and how do you implement this material within your work?
I take my own photographs and use google a lot.

9 What are the main problems that you face in making your work?
Having no money .

10 Where do you intend to take your work from here?
Hopefully somewhere unexpected.
